BIB FEVER OCTOBER 2006

You would not believe that bib numbers could be in such high demand. Memories of last year and obtaining bib for Kingston Running Festival. One for me and one for Heather - left it until last minute. The race entries had actually closed if it hadn't have been for us emailing them to see if we stood a chance of entry - we wouldn't have had to run it at all. They very kindly obliged by emailing back that if we could get it to them in the next 24 hours we could enter. So forms and cheques and the most important thing A5 envelope with SAE A5 envelope inside (otherwise no chance in hell of getting bib on time). Drove round with money, form and A5 envelope to HUMANRACE head office which is actually a house (I was looking for an office). Map reading not being one of my PBs it took the best part of an hour and nearly being late picking up kids from school. All done in the name of a sixteen mile run around Kingston.

On the day unfortunately only one bib ran ME!

Nb. Heather had knee injury.
